And now the Crazy's come out to play

Now the Speaker of  the House says that those that opposed to  the building of the Mosque near Ground Zero should be the target of a criminal probe.

When will the left figure out that its OK for people to have opinions that differ from theirs?  The idea was that in the US the people would have the right to gather and express their opinions, and when those opinions differed from the those in power, they wouldn't have to fear persecution for uttering them.Another wild and crazy idea was that people would have the right to practice their religion without fear of persecution from the government.  The idea worked fine for a couple of hundred years, why now is it so different?

Mosque near Ground Zero? Much Ado About Nothing

I was listening today to the talk about El Presidente Obama speaking out about the Mosque soon to be built near to ground zero in New York.  The talking points seem to be lined up neatly and for once the Dem's seem to have taken the point that Freedom of Religion means that the government doesn't have the right to determine where people worship.  Historically it seems they take the point of view that Freedom of Religion really means Freedom From Religion, a big difference.

I consider my self to be a pretty conservative fellow, but I think that we are making much ado about nothing.  Freedom of Religion means that we have the right to worship as we please.  That applies to Muslims too.  As long as they abide by the same rules as the rest of us, then what is the concern?

I do wonder what would happen if we wanted to build  Christian church where that giant statue of Hussein used to stand...
