The need to be offended.

Last week I was traveling for work, and while I was in route between Albuquerque and Salt Lake City a lady seated next to me commented that a gentleman threatened her in the airport.

Obviously, I recommended she contact the authorities (airport = unarmed) and she commented that it was a professional threat as she wouldn't agree to hire the guy's girlfriend while his wife worked for the same firm.

FML.

Once I got to Vegas, I got to watch the republican debate, and enjoyed it (Cruz and Trump are my guys), but later got totally side tracked in the Trump vs Kelly  "issue".

I like Megan, I like her lots, especially in a skirt, but that isn't important.  his (Trumps) comments "...blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her...whatever." clearly isn't a comment on her menstrual cycles, but once again the MSM takes the easy and pervy  way out and equates the two. So do many of the ladies that I actually respect....

That is a damn shame, instead of looking at women as equals, or peers, we are again being told that women should be treated differently, that we as men should overlook their differences and look at them as slightly challenged males (when that is convenient), or pity deserving emotional wrecks when that is a better solution.

Come on ladies, if you want to be taken seriously, take a position and defend it.

The Forces of Tolerance

I don't know if you are interested at all in the current Brouhaha over the Hugo awards, but to make recap it as briefly as possible, at least two Authors felt that they were being passed over for consideration for awards because gender/color/sexual identity and politics.

Not because they were female, black, lesbian, leftists, but because they were the opposite.  So, they formed a list of works they thought that people should vote for, and based that list on, get this, the value of the works themselves.  I mean we all know that the Hugo's themselves are supposed to be awarded based on the literary value of the work time the inverse of  assumed white/male/straight/ christian/conservative/patriarchy power value.  (I'll explain that in a future story) right?  I mean no, Wikipedia says that the Hugo is to be awarded "for the best science fiction or fantasy work and achievements of the previous year".  Curiously, I couldn't find something similar on the Hugo Webpage.

Anyway, the author's started their own slat of proposed winners, and guess what, many of those actually got nominated to win Hugo's.  I do love my sci fi books, but until this thing  blew up, I had never heard of a Hugo, I guess that makes me a not true fan, contrary purchases of hundreds if not thousands of books not included.

Then the liberal butt hurting started, apparently actually suggesting that people vote for titles is a bad thing, Even though it has been done before, and isn't against the rules.  Even the website says that:
... Excessively campaigning for a Hugo Award can be frowned upon by regular Hugo voters and has been known to backfire.
Thus apparently it is legal.

Then Entertainment weekly's least senior editorial content 14th assistant had to jump into the fray, her heavily corrected missive can be found here, the original stored here.    Isabella Biedenharn, (according to her LinkedIn profile, on the job for 6 months, and her Contently profile says she is a writer with a strong affinity for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West) stirred up a storm by referring to two of the most notable authors names.  Names like misogynist and implied  a racist basis for the tactic.

That backfired.  I wonder if the author's will sue now?  That would be entertainment!

I don't know what will come of the Hugo's and I really don't care.  What I want you, dear reader, to get out of this is that the forces of the left are the forces of hate.

They hate you based on your gender (if you are a man).

They hate you on the color of your skin (if you aren't brown or black).

They hate you for your religion (unless you are Buddhist or Islamic).

They hate you if you disagree with them on anything.

They hate you for being successful.

They hate you for not kowtowing to their demands.

If you aren't one of them you need to understand this mindset.  This is the mindset that is tearing this country apart.  They portray themselves as the souls of reasonableness, while they call people vile names and issue death threats. because, of course "tolerance or death" is their battle cry!

More on this later

I think one of the most concerning habits that I've observed  is the failure to understand that it's OK to have civil differences in a civil society. The way the MSP treats republicans as evil is the opposite of understanding that basic fact, and in fact is nothing but a juvenile form of what I wanted to speak about.

"I think everyone should watch the video should they get the opportunity because I think it reinforces an important fact.  Beyond the borders of our nation in other unfortunate parts of the world, there are evil people who the normal principles of civil society don’t exist – for who torture, rape and murder are not crimes but tools to achieve their aims and perhaps even enjoyed.  My friends on the right make the mistake of assuming this is about religion, but they are wrong.  Islam is merely the excuse – this is about power, the original sin of mankind, a primal and nasty story that happens time and time again across the globe and throughout history."  Chris Otero -  Havoc Journal

As the quote from the article above calls out, this is beyond civil differences, the behavior that we are seeing from the terrorists is nothing but evil.  This is in fact the same evil we've seen throughout history from those seeking unbridled power, power like concentration camps (regardless of the source), Khmer Rouge evil, Stalinist evil, and yes Nazi evil.   This is the evil the reduces the basic human nature of the victims to zero, subhuman status.  This is the evil that says "I will do everything possible to ensure the growth of my power, and to subjugate you."  That is the evil that our constitution was designed to protect against, the evil that says "I have the power and you have to do what I want", the ability for free men to resist.  Resist against the redcoats, resist against a political machine.

Our modern press treat as anti-American anyone that tends to disagree with their progressive vision of the future of America.  Criminals that deserve to have their taxes audited, criminals that don't deserve the ability to protect those they love, and certainly don't deserve to have their voices heard.   In the news recently there are have several articles about state governments pushing for greater gun control, and a snippet I found this morning about banning ar-15 ammo, the push continues...
